Not too long ago, I was using a regular plug-in home iron’s steam feature to help curve my ball cap visors. As you can imagine, this was not the best way to do the job. I had to juggle holding my ball cap in one hand, while holding a super hot iron in the other hand ??♂️. Enter Jiffy Steamer (the BEST in the game), who came to my rescue with the J-1.
Holy Christmas! The J-1 is remarkable, and does an outstanding job with helping me curve my hat collection’s visors. It’s super easy to setup and begin using, which I must admit I was intimidated at first because I had never used such a professional steamer before.
My J-1 came with the main base component, and water jug (which all I had to do was fill the jug with water and insert it onto the base). Then I plugged in the base and switched it on, and I was off to steaming my hat’s visors easily like a Pro! And just like that, I was no longer juggling my hats and an iron. I am now a “Jiffy Steamer Believer” and will tell as many people I can about my awesome experience, so that they too could be inspired to become “Jiffy Steamer Believers” as well. Thank you Jiffy Steamer!

Works perfectly for felt hats. My go to tool for my fedoras.
Bought this for my dad for Christmas and honestly the best money I could have ever spent! He loves his Tejano hats and always has to go to the retail stores to get them straight out, so this was just the best idea!! He has a section in his closet made just for this thing. Definitely recommend!!
Love it!!! Very easy to use could not be any more happy with this product!.. I just watched a few videos on YouTube on how to crease hats I have learned a few things over the years as well but the videos made me feel comfortable about what I was doing and how to take great care of my hats. Make your $ back in no time when u think about paying someone 20 dollars plus gas driving around to get a hat creased..5 stars
Just like it is advertised, comes with instruction book, easy to set up in 2 pieces and I like the magnetic tool on the bottom for adjustments. Powerful steam and you can order attachments to convert to a clothing steamer (its all in the book). Hands free steamer.
I have used clothes steamers from various manufacturers as well as steam from showers and boiling coffee pots to shape my hats and finally decided to get a hat steamer. Now that I have this Jiffy steamer I feel silly to have waited so long to buy one. This is definitely worth the cost. I also found that I can steam my shirts even without the hose and stand. Might buy those in the future.
Im going to say right up front, this was an excellent purchase! I bought this primarily for my three Resistol beaver fur cowboy hats.
Ive been shaping and reshaping my brims for around 25 years or so. Ive used tea kettles and small pots with vented lids mostly. This last year I broke down and purchased a garment steamer from Walmart, I found out that my steam iron did a better job.
Ive looked at professional type hatters steamers before but the price was always too far out my reach for the average joe. Then I see the Jiffy Hat Steamer and it comes in just under $150. Ive worn cowboy hats for most of my life and I figure I will wear them til the day I die, so the investment of the Jiffy steamer was easily justified.
Using the Jiffy Steamer is as easy as it comes. You fill up the water jug and tighten the cap, insert the jug into the steamers jug receptacle, plug in the power cord and turn on the power switch. I think it was about two minutes and steam was shooting from the spout. You get a nice steady blast of steam, and only steam, there was no water spitting like what I would get from my steam iron. Even my garment steamer would spit water if you over filled it, and that thing would have to be refilled a couple of times to get the job done on even one hat.
In less than 15 minutes, I lowered the crowns on two of my hats and reshaped the brims on all three. I turned off the unit and unplugged it, let it cool for a few minutes then emptied the water from the jug and just turned the unit upside down over the sink and emptied out the excess water in the unit and set on the counter to dry.
In my neck of the woods, a store will charge you 25 bucks a pop to do a block and brim shape, that means for the price to do my hats twice, I can buy the Jiffy steamer.........well, that is what I did. Once I do my hats a second time, the steamer will have paid for itself and to think, after that, my brim shaping will be free............you gotta love that!!
This Jiffy steamer is easy to use and it does a great job, no interruptions of having to refill with water so it is also very convenient to use. I am loving this purchase and glad I did it. Highly recommended!
