As a person who deals with clothing every day for a profession, I need a reliable way to sanitize and de-wrinkle the clothing. When I was searching for a new steamer, Jiffy caught my eye. I loved that it's American made and this model offered interchangeable heads for different jobs. I read reviews and watched videos to decide on a model. I went with the J-2000i (in pink of course!)
From the moment I unboxed it, I was immediately impressed with the craftsmanship and quality. As I was assembling it (which was also quick and easy!) I needed some assistance, so I called their customer service line where I was immediately connected with a friendly technician who resolved my issue!
When it was time to put the Jiffy to work, I made sure I used distilled water for best results. I was so shocked how quickly it heated up. It was almost Fun to see how crisp it made the clothing look when removing the wrinkles! My husband even remarked that it looked like I ironed (and who has time for that anymore?!). I was very pleased with the results on clothing.
So I wanted to take it a step further and try the interchangeable heads for various cleaning and jobs around the house. I used the larger head to steam clean my couch and bedding pillows that aren't machine washable. It left them odor free and so refreshed. I then used the nozzle head to steam clean my windowsills for a clean without chemicals.
I am so happy with this product that I know I will use over and over in the years to come. I truly believe when you invest in something of quality, it will pay off.
Bought this as a replacement for a Rowenta steamer that was purchased about 7 years ago and for at least twice the price.
This steamer was easy to put together after I took everything out of the box. The instructions were easy to understand. This product put out more steam than I can remember my old Rowenta ever produced.
I use this steamer for most of our garments, from my husbands suits to my silk shirts and even my denim jeans. I have also used this on our king-sized comforter to freshen it up. It works wonderfully! I will recommend to my friends! The price is right and is made in the USA!
I recently took a wool sweater vest out of the drawer where it had spent the summer. It was crumpled, creased, unwearable, un-ironable. Ah... but it was no problem at all for my new jiffy steamer. In two minutes or so, it was smooth and perfect. I love steaming tee-shirts -- ironing them is annoying and always sets in some strange lines and fine creases. Heavy cotton trousers, wool clothing, sythetics ... all the odd items that never iron quite right are no obstacle at all for my steamer.
I have found it best to put the wand inside the clothing and pull it towards me while steaming. Thinner tee-shirts I can iron from behind and the steam passes through both layers -- cuts my work in half. I have also rested my ironing board against the wall to use as a sort of steamer board but as I am getting better at using my steamer, I find I do not need to bother with that.
I really like my steamer -- its quick, easy, efficient, heats up fast, melts away wrinkles. Well-made and sturdy too. Impressive for the price. I recommend it.
I really cannot say enough good things about my Jiffy Steamer, I purchased the model with the metal head and I highly recommend it. You can take a wadded up shirt and have it wrinkle free in 2 minutes. Its just what I needed for my business. I've been using for 3-4 months and havent had an issue one, very well made. I cant even compare it to the other two steamers Ive had, it's not even in the same ballpark.
